Carbohydrates

Ever feel tired after eating your lunch? If so your are probably eating too much refined/processed carbohydrates such as white bread and pasta, and your body has become carbohydrate sensitive. Eat more complex carbs, protein and fibre and drink more water.

Alcohol

Every gram of alcohol has 7 calories! So cut back on the alcohol intake.

Alcohol is a depressant, so if you feeling down don't drink it. Invite some friends over and watch a comedy.

Obesity and a high alcohol level in older women has been linked to a higher risk of developing breast cancer

Be happy

Eat right! Include mood enhancing foods into you diet such as milk, yoghurt, tuna and chicken. These foods contain high levels of Tryptophan (brain food).

Don't stress

Stress can cause you to gain weight. So organise yourself.

Plan your day ahead in the morning and set time aside to finish that paper work.

Facial fitness

Work those facial muscles! Facial exercises may make you feel silly but they will get rid of your double chin.

Drink water!

Just a 3% loss in body fluid can result in a 7% loss in physical performance.

If you become dehydrated your metabolism slows down and so you burn your food off slower.

You may confuse thirst with hunger. Drink a glass of water 20 minutes before your evening meal. When it comes to dinner time you wont feel as hungry and will not eat as much.

It's great as part of your beauty regime. Skin that is becoming saggy, either due to aging or weight loss, plumps up very nicely when the skin cells are hydrated.

Drink 8 glasses a day.
